TH350 shifts hard in reverse

TH350 shifts hard in reverse Just swapped from a 4l60e to a th350 this passed week. One of the first things I noticed is shifting from park to reverse it shifts hard, but seems fine shifting from park to low.
I do have the idle set a little high but if I lower it the rpms moves up and down.
