Default How to disable lockup converter??

I have a gen3 lq4/ 4l80e swapped into my car with a circle d 278mm 3200 stall. And I seem to have a noticeable vibration when the converter is locked.

I would like to disable the lock up clutch so that I can diagnose the vibration. Can I simply disconect a wire for the lock up clutch? Would this cuase a ses light or cuase the trans to go into limp mode?
Thank you

The more I read about torque converter shudder, this seems to be a fairly common issue. I guess I should provide a little more info. My converter is set to lock at 55mph and I think above 2000 rpm. I notice a vibration when the converter is locked while decelerating / coasting/but it seems to go away when throttle is applied. I have a head cam 6.0 with a tsp 228r cam. As said before, it's a circle d 278mm hp converter, and my 4l80e was built by flt trans. My 80 is stock other than I asked them to dual feed my direct clutches. Any input advice?
