Default 04 4L60e shifting issues

Hi All,
I am finishing up my LS swap into my 64 El Camino. I used a Used
5.3 / 4l60e combo from a 04 Tahoe. This came out of a wrecked vehicle with 75,000 miles. The problem I have is when I put the car in Drive it starts out in 4th (im assuming) then after 50' or so shifts down to a lower gear 1st
(im assuming) this is at around 1500 to 1800 rpms. As I continue on It will slip out of gear if I back off the throttle it will reengage. Also if I try to start in 1st It will not manually up shift stays in 1st and will not slip out of gear.
And if it helps any when I put car in reverse it engages solidly.

Any thoughts Master solenoid kit maybe?

Heres a link to my build thread if it helps.

Thanks

While replacing all the solenoids might help, I am skeptical as a wreck is unlikely to damage a solenoid. (Unless the pan is obviously bent.)

I would first confirm that the wiring between the trans and the PCM is correct.
What PCM/TCM are you using? Did you make or buy a harness?

Any trans shop can hook up a scanner to the car to command different gear and confirm that the trans shifts to them.

Thanks for the input mrvedit I got a copy of the wiring schematic from the guy that built my harness.
He is very helpful and meticulous. But I plan on checking the connections tomorrow morning.
I am also waiting on my the guy that programmed my ECM to confirm that he didn't select 4L60e
and that it's still set for a 4L80. I am using a 2004 Savannah ECM as I am using DBC T/B I confirmed the part# for compatibility on LT1swap.com.
