Default 4L60e suddenly starts slipping on second gear

Suddenly one day when out cruising with some throttle use, the second gear starts to slip.
First hardly I could feel it. Then after like 15 minutes the slipping was so much that the car was not pushed forward on second gear. 1, 3 and 4 works as before.

The car is a Camaro 1999 with a 4L60e. Like 60 000 miles on the car with calm street driving. It is a LS3 in front of the 4L60e.
-Is it a rebuild needed or is there anything else that can solve this issue?

Thank you!

This sounds like a worn band; usually but not always, 2nd starts to slip before 4th.

Sometimes you can get another 5000 - 10,000 miles out of the trans before it absolutely needs a rebuild by lengthening the servo pin. Here are some threads on the subject and feedback that it worked:

Yes agreed something has happened to the band worn or lining separated and the travel of the 4th servo is generally greater than the second servo so it can still hold in second.
