RPM Transmissions is very well known for how well their transmissions perform, I'd give them a call after the New Year. Bob

I would put North Texas Converter and Jake's as higher quality builds than just about anybody else on the market. NTC also has a one year warranty which almost no one has, which is a huge plus if you ask me. Rossler's transmissions aren't bad by any means, but they're extremely overpriced for what's actually put into them, speaking frankly. His transbrake is also quite dated and obsolete these days.

Very easy to get ahold of jakes. He emailed me back on a Saturday afternoon within about an hour, about 4 months after buying the trans when I had a stupid question about the flexplate. Give them a call if your serious about getting into a great trans

There are occasional "complaints" here about every transmission vendor (sponsor or not) being slow to respond to emails or return phone calls. It just seems to be the nature of their business - when everyone is up to their elbows in AFT, you aren't going to answer the phone or an email.
I would suggest leaving at most one phone message, one daily email and perhaps one PM, and then being patient for a few days. This isn't Amazon Prime.

A doctor or lawyer charges for their time, even just to talk to them, yet a technician is expected to answer questions for free.
I have to pay for subscription services to have access to repair information. I also pay for support for the software I use on my CNC, even though I already paid for the software.
If I charged for technical support in addition to the build of a transmission, customers would think I was greedy.
We get literally a hundred plus emails a day, and probably that again in calls. I have to have 2-3 people just to deal with that, before we ever work on anything.
I'm confident that the OP hasn't emailed after checking my emails.

Many people don't understand the custom nature of performance automotive work, especially transmissions, and how time consuming it is.

I understand shops get busy...thats why I said at the end of the email, NO RUSH. I never expect 1-2 day replies from reputable, well-known shops.
But don't say I didn't send the email. I don't sit around and lie about emails I sent to shops.

Let me make it clear for everyone.
My business is successful enough that I have the option to turn down a potential customer if I feel they are not a good fit.
This is where you want to be as a business.
You attempted to email ONCE, from overseas. We didn't receive your email for whatever reason. Satellite connection, email server, etc.
You made a negative statement here without an attempt to call or email again.
I don't need or want that kind of immature customer.
It's simple.. You can select who you want to buy from, and I can select who I sell to.

I'm running a Jakes Stage 5 4L80E/D3 trans brake and it hasn't missed a beat. Furthermore, I have called Jakes shop, only to get a message answering machine... I decided to just call back later, I wasn't in a rush for an answer.
They called me back, just to see what I needed. Stated they saw someone called and didn't leave a message and wanted to see if they could help. Who does that? I was very impressed. I had already been running their transmission for awhile and had a silly question about shift firmness.
Jakes is a stand up place, and I think he made the correct decision staying away from this guy
