Default Pnp pin 8 776

2004 4l60e Silverado transmission.
I know pin 8 white #776 range switch p goes to the pcm for range of (assuming park). Question is can I tee into this circuit for a park position ground, and not disturb pcm function? I'm doing a 5.3 swap in a 96 blazer and need a ground in park for tail glass. Thanks.

I'm just going to go back to the C1 C2 type PNP and be done with it. Seems like the simplest solution.

The switch will connect to ground in Park and Neutral.
The safest way is to add two small diodes (IN4001) to isolate the two circuits.
Connect both Cathodes to the switch and each Anode to the circuit - one to the PCM, the other to your circuit. The IN4001 are probably 4 for a dollar at Radio Shack.
