I have one coming from Extreme Automatics. His other brakes are excellent, so I expect this one to be as well.

Not sure if Griner makes a 4l80 brake valve body but that's all we use in our turbo 400's. JW which Extreme automatics uses and ATI would both be good options. Both look very similar to the Griner

Nothing is similar to a Griner.

Griner doesn't make a 4L80E valve body. So it's irrelevant to the question.

I have had a Jake's , Rossler, and North Texas Converter in my 80e. North Texas converter has the fastest releasing brake from my experience.

I have the Rossler 4l80e brake in my trans and have noticed it releasing quite slow... The trans was built by FLT back in 2012 so I believe it should have the newer design. Anyone notice the Rossler's being slow? We are only talking a half second or so (seat of the pants feel)

I assume he is referring to the "sloppy brake"? Do you see any issues doing this as far as longevity of the trans? My 80e is built to handle some power but don't want to jeopardize if this isn't a wise thing to try.

I was thinking of picking up one of your D1 brakes as well, but would want to use it in my electronically controlled 80e without issue. Any issues using the D1 brake on the street and in a car that gets driven quite a bit?

No they are not. This is just misinformation Jake has been spreading.

There is no question that NTC (former employees of Jake's) has directly copied the D1 transbrake.

I have spoke to a couple of people who have confirmed this.

Anybody that has actual knowledge and wants to discuss any technical differences is more than welcome to prove me wrong.

I know for a fact you and the owner of NTC designed the D1 together.

This thread is asking for the BEST brake on the market. Are you saying the D1 is the best on the market? If not, why even bring it up?

You go out of your way to **** on NTC, and there is no point. They may have been former employee's who became competitors, but if your product is superior, why the temper tantrum?
In the end, you are free to talk all the **** you want, it just goes to show your maturity level.. But I'll be damned if I'm going to sit back and watch you spread bold faced lies.

The one thing that obviously hasn't changed is your shitty attitude.
You may have witnessed that after the fact the D1 was developed.
The D1 was developed before Cody worked for me and before you were ever around the shop.

NTC can do whatever they want. They're 5 years behind because all they can do is copy other people's work.

They'll have a difficult time copying what's up and coming.
