That's a fairly mild cam for an LS1. I would think something as low as a 3200 would work fine. There's a lot of other considerations that should be made though before you pick your converter. Budget, intended use, future mods ect. I would be happy to help via phone or email if you would like.

I disagree that it is mild - it has 8 degrees of overlap at 0.050, which is 28 degrees more than the stock LS6 cam and 7 degrees more than the "Hot" cam and is similar to GM's "ASA race only" cam which has 11 degrees of overlap.
My previous LS2 engine has a cam with 10 degrees of overlap and it ran very will with a 3600 stall; the 2800 stall I tried bogged it down.
So I would suggest a 3600 stall and if you have 3.73 rear maybe even 4000.
I've been very happy with my CircleD 3600 stall in my LS3.

thank you mrvedit because i was looking at the 3200 to 3700 and i was looking at a 3700 to 4200 too and was really leaning tward the 37-42 but was scared that it might actually be too much for the cam and a little much for a regularly driven street car i dont make long trips in it every day but i drive it pretty much every day

That's close to my cam. I ran a ss3600 with it and it was great. Actually got a 10.9 1/4 best. I have a circle d 1e its a 4000 stall right now. Car's actually a couple mph and tenths slower now but might not be from the stall. Don't be afraid of a 4k stall they really are easy to drive.

Dont hate
1000 da it would still do 11.1-11.2 low 11s car all day.
Race weight 3500 helps. All the preparations before a pass like front tire psi up to max, rear tires up as high as they can take without spin, shallow staging, bad *** burnout ect...
Those things along with a good cold air kit...my ssra was good for .2-.3 when the car was bolt on only.
130k mile car and doing well IMO.
They are tea ls6 243 stg 2 heads.
