Default 4L80e swap Lokar dipstick question

i am swapping a 4L80e into 2000 F-body and see people dispute about the correct length for a Lokar dipstick. you look up the one on lokars website and the firewall one is 24inches, but i read that some say you need one thats 36inches and i just want to get the correct one first. i would perfer the black one if your nice enough to get me the part #

Id call madman engineering and get a new one made specifically for that conversion on that exact car. I was advised against the lokar unit because it will take forever to get the trans filled with that small diameter tube they use. My madman tube fit like stock and works great with their stock like dipstick. It was like $70 shipped to the door if I remember correctly.

Times 3.

The Madman piece fits great and fills easy with a small funnel. Heard nothing but bad things on the Lokar sticks.

Google "Madman Racing" or "Madman and Co Racing"

I'm sure if we post the direct link the moderators won't like it etc etc.

And yes, you have to call to order.

Jakes also has a good dipstick for this swap, that's what I used. It's not listed on his site, you've gotta call and order.

The Lokar one is a slow fill, but I don't refill my trans a lot. The big thing is the length of the dipstick. You need to put the whole thing on with the pan off and mark where the actual full mark should be. Then remove the dipstick, remove the ****, cut off the cable and put the **** back on and hope you didn't cut it too short
The one that's a regular tube is the best option if it fits your particular car.
