Default Hard/quick shifts. WTF?

Went for about a 3 hr ride saturday night.. about half-way my car started shifting really hard & quick from 1st to 2nd, then 2nd to 3rd, then 3rd to 4th.. I have not done any modifying to my Transmission, so what is the reason for this? Anyone experienced this before?
when i got home i turned off the car for about 5-10 mins, and now everything is fine.. but i was just wondering what the deal was with it... thanks

If you havent modified anything in programming I would venture a guess to say it was something with the MAF because that does effect line pressure but this is purely a guess

If the PCM detects slippage, it will up the shift firmness to 100% and will do exactly what you're saying. When you turn the ignition off, it resets. If it comes back and does it again, you've got an internal problem.
