vigilante 3600-4000 stall MPH?
I'm planning on buying a vigilante stall within the next few weeks because I've heard good things about them, but I'vealso heard that high stall converter are inefficient at crazy high speeds? Idk what crazy high speeds are but I'mpplanning on running the Texas mile and need to go as fast as possible idk I don't consider 140 mph crazy high speed but I sure do want to go at least 180mph

I'm certainly not an expert on converters, but in my opinion, for the mile I would go with either the stock converter to minimize slip, or better yet, get a triple disk converter so that you can lock it at WOT. I currently have a Circle D triple disk 3600 stall.

mrvedit nailed it. Get a triple disc converter so you can lock it up at wide open throttle (make sure you get it programmed for that). My Vigilante triple disc converter is getting installed soon, and I too will be doing 1/4, 1/2, and mile racing.
The higher stall will get you into the power band faster, and keep you there, and that matters when it comes to timed racing events. You are most likely going to spend around a $1000 for a triple disc converter, but it is worth every penny. Just remember to get an efficient trans cooler installed to help keep temps down. Have fun!!!
