Ptc is my recommendation for budget minded people. If you're willing to spend a little more I generally recommend yank and circle d, mostly because I have direct experience with those 3 companies.

How are their prices...if I have to I have no prob dropping 900+ on a good converter but I just dropped over 1500 on my brakes so well you know how it goes....I'm assuming that I'll have to try to find a good shop to get a proper tune done as well

They are not as well known as some of the other companies but Revmax gets excellent reviews. I have a "level 3" 3200 stall in my H/C 94 firehawk and its been in for 15k, never skipped a beat and feels great, not sloppy at all. Was about $440 IIRC. They have a "level 5" converter that they claim can handle 1500 hp for $725.

I have had great results with my Revmax converter and with so many positive reviews that I have seen they are worth a look.

All the names listed above are good.
I would avoid TCI converters and generally anything under $450.

Quality converters give you more band for your buck than any other upgrade.

Can't go wrong with a solid FTI converter either.

No intentions on going cheap...just not sure which would be best for me if I have to buy a new one and a nice low mile one doesn't pop up....I see every where's from 800-1300 for these so it's kinda an important decision for me when dripping more coin on my car but a converter is pretty much all that's left for the time being

All good billet converters are around the same price, and like previously posted that the last thing you wanna go cheap on. Yank, Circle D, FTI etc. Couldn't be happier w/ my Circle D personally.

Well after research it seems from what I can tell between yank, circle d, and fti all appear in the most part to be pretty equal for what I need so it's gonna have to come down to the price aspect so it looks like I'll be going with the fti and able to use the difference to revamp my cooler system for a lil more confidence with the added heat this will produce

Well I took the plunge today and ordered a 3600 stall from FTI today... Now I just need to order the new cooler, lines, fittings, and see if I can track down a tuner somewhere and hopefully then have a lil fun

Depending on the cooler you want, we have coolers, cooler line kits plus fittings! if you want to check it all out here's the link. We can make it a one stop shop.

Been happy with my Fti converter. Gonna be pulling it next week and sending back for a restall. I think after talking to troy at fti that the car needs a little higher converter since the 102 fast swap. Guess when I call next week I'll ask if there is different length lokar dipsticks.
