Default Question on gearing/converter trapping low MPH

72 C10 with a carb'd 6.0/th400/9"...Truck is basically a cam only 6.0 with the super victor cathedral intake for the carb. Converter is a 3800. It's on a 29" tall tire and has 4.56 gears in the rear. Spraying roughly 170hp it's not running what we expected. Truck runs 7.2X at only 92 mph on the kit. We're thinking it has too much gear and needs more like a 3:90 or so. But was just curious on yall's input. What do you guys think we should try?
