4l80E swap 5.3 questions. I looked at some other threads and couldn't get the specific answers to my questions. I have a 5.3 that came from a 2wd silverado with a 4L60E. I have the ECU and wiring harness as well. I'm planning on swapping a 4x4 4L80E onto the 5.3 along with a NP243 electronic shift transfer case. My question is, will I have to get a 4x4 ECU for the 4L80E or will the stock 2wd ECU from the 4l60E suffice? If the connectors are different thats fine i'm having tweak'd build my harness.
