I think I had about 10,000 mi. on it when it went out and the quick slip never went away. When I came to a complete stop I sat there for a second before I started to go again and it would not do it usually.

With my transmission going out..... It had absolutely nothing to do with that issue. The reason mine went out was because I cracked the forward apply piston.

Oh ok that makes me feel a little better. If trans has to come out the yank might get a restall. Hope it doesn't come to that though.

My car has done this a handful of times over the years. I can't remember if it did it before the aftermarket converters because I've run them for over 10 years. All I know is that it hasn't been indicative of any bigger problem as my tranny has continued to perform flawlessly in the meantime.

I asked a tranny builder about it and he said he had had the problem in trucks and even talked to experts during training sessions about it and still doesn't know what causes it.

Interesting info. Im just hoping there's not a problem with my pb trans as the warranty is half over with only 600 miles on it. I'm gonna do as frank said just to eliminate that. Only filter I could find local is a "drive works "from advance auto. Never heard of this brand. Anybody heard of them? Safe to use? I did a little research and its china made and seems to be like a wix/duralast filter. Plz advise! Thx

mine does the same thing since my yank3600 install but only after the car sits for awhile feels like a slip pull out and then it grabs and is good the rest of the driving time I was wondering if something in the tranny was draining down and has to pump back up of love to have the answer because my converter has not given me results others have got and would love to know this wasn't causing my 1.9 60s

Ya I was thinking the same thing about tranny/converter seems like it needs to pump up or something. Mine does it mostly when I first start driving but it has done it here and there after driving for awhile. Next time I drive it I'll try throwing it in neutral and raising rpm's up or power braking it slightly when I come to a stop to see if this affects the slip. I only ran once at the track with my 3600 and was pretty happy with my 1.78 60ft. Hoping for a 1.6 next time I'm running nt05r's. They almost dead hooked with me pre loading the drive train to approx 1k rpm. What's your mods/tires?

Just put a fresh trans and Yank SS3600 a month ago. Haven't noticed this at all and have about 300 miles on the combo.
FWIW I had a 2800 converter in before and car was tuned for that. Haven't needed to get a change in the tune either.

How are you taking off? Flashing converter? What tires?

I don't think mine did the slip thing from day one of install? Can be 100% sure though as I babied it for awhile. Keep us updated if you notice any changes.

I have tried leaving off idle and loading it to 2500 with similar results I run 275/60 MT DR traction isnt the problem just seems flat but it was very warm on the days I ran it .I actually had timing pulled out because the IAT was at like 135 so that sure didn't help .I may try zeroing out that table and the knock retard for a run because I think its false knock because my exhaust is real close and the knock retard seems to happen at the shift points

Ya maybe somethings going on with your tune? I'm just running mail order frost tune for now. My 60 was a 1.78 which is pretty close to a 1.8 which isn't the greatest either. How close were you to 1.8? Track temp was around 68-70 (upstate by) . What 1/4 time you run?

The car went 13.1@ 105with 1.92 60 ft.timing was pulled at the top end 4 degrees and the temp was low 80s IAT was like 140 pulling timing out down low my exhaust is real close to the floor I hoping its false knock and can straighten that out later

Not sure what other mods you have but years ago my buddy had a t/a with yank 3500(pretty sure they made that stall awhile ago) a slp lid and whisper catback with 2:73 and ran 13.0 and that was with no tune. Not sure what his 60ft was?

yea that's my concern I went 13.1 with decent air before the tune converter and long tubes no cats but like said earlier need to get rid of the knock retard issues before I get to worried about losing 4+ degrees of timing sure isn't helping

Well I dropped the pan and checked 3 solenoid screens. They were nice and clean. I did notice a bit of bronze/goldish very fine particles ( fine like powder) on top of the filter when I removed it? The fluid I drained also had glittery appearance in direct sunlight. Magnet had a bit of blk sludge. I have approx 600 miles on new trans/yank. I've read/told some is normal?

Tranny still does the slip thing after fluid /filter change I've noticed it does do it here and there while up to operating temp also. Gonna change fluid/filter again after 1000-1500 miles to see if there's the same amount of residue? Anybody Else seen or heard of this plz share your experience
