Default A4 top speed run

How are you modded guys making top speed runs?
I have a boosted C5 with an A4. I've read and been told by RPM rep. to make sure to shift into 3rd before making a WOT run (which is no issue). But what if I want to do a 60-150+ run? (3rd tops out in high 130s)
I'm running a RPM stage VI trans

I think shifting into third is a precaution to prevent a 4 to 3 downshift at WOT, which is hard on the trans. The upshift from 3 to 4 can also hard but generally won't happen under full throttle if the trans is properly tuned. Once you get close max RPM, shift to fourth and let off the throttle some, the trans will shift into fourth. The shift shouldn't be too hard at less than full throttle and then you can get back into it.

If you're starting from a dead stop, you should be able to leave the car in OD and take off. If it's properly tuned, the trans won't shift to fourth until you let off of the throttle.

Thanks Unit
Do you by chance what specifically needs to be done to the trans table to "prevent" it from shifting into 4th at full throttle?
Its presently set for a 3-4 shift at 135 so if I'm in OD, it would shift there

Sure.
Set Full Throttle Shift Speed: 3 -> 4 Shift to 255 mph and set the 4 -> 3 Shift to 155 mph.

Set Full Throttle Shift RPM to whatever RPM the engine curve starts falling off at. Mine are all set to 6,280 RPM's.

Those settings effectively prevent a 3 -> 4 shift at WOT and also prevent a downshift from 4 -> 3.

Thanks
So do I leave my part throttle shift table where its at or lower it slightly, so I can lift the throttle a little and bump it into OD?

Part throttle shift table settings are pretty much whatever you're comfortable with. I like keeping in lower gears a little longer than stock and I have all of mine set a few mph higher than stock settings. I also set the 3 -> 4 shift to 255 mph at 50% throttle and over to prevent a 3 -> 4 shift when I'm accelerating hard.
