Default Bad converter?

So I went back to the dyno to finish my tuning the other day and I had big issues. First pull we lost almost 200hp from where we were at in Feb. Also noticed the mph was off between the car and the dyno. We did a few more pulls and even turned the boost up and the power dropped off more while making more boost and by the last pull i banged the rev limiter at 7200 and the dyno said I was at 5700. I pulled the transmission and the fluid looks good. I'm assuming something is wrong with the converter as it will be the third bad one I've had from this company. So my question is what happens to a converter to cause this and is there something i should look at in the transmission to make sure it's ok?
