Default Is my 4l60e a 1999?

Hello Group.

I have bought a 4L60E from a guy. The seller told me it had been GM rebuilt some time ago (have rebiult sticker) and it came out of a 97 Tahoe. My Tahoe's tranny is a one piece case with a dust cover. his is a 2 piece case. The numbers on his tranny are
24206579 bell
24207965 case
9LU D7
140 Serial no

When Using the website
https://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledg...utomatic/4l60e my bell housing is the "1998 Bellhousing with added holes for the bottom cover"

When Using the website
http://mmerlinn.com/catalog/lilscrib...6/gm9l6010.htm it looks like his a 99 tranny.

I am wondering if he lied or did not know what year was of the Tahoe it came out of.

So my question is if I am right that it is a 99 tranny what problems might I come a crossed putting it in my 97 Tahoe.

Thank you

Sorry no one answered and that I was busy for a week (auto racing again).

Its hard to keep track of the tranny from every model and year GM vehicle.

If you take and post a good picture of the front, especially the input shaft, I should be able to answer your question. In short, if the input shafts are the same they are probably compatible; if they are different they obviously are not. Pictures will help; I will especially be looking for the "PWM" mark on the front of the pump from inside the bell housing.
