Default 4L80E: 0.028" clearance in the overrun?

Checking the clearance in my overrun and I can only squeeze .028 worth of feeler gauge between the snap ring and the pressure plate. New frictions and steels, used pressure plate and everything is dry. The book says 0.035"-0.095"...

Will 0.028" be too tight?

Nevermind... A quick air test of the clutch pack must have allowed everything to settle as I was able to get a 0.035" measurement.
