Default 4l65e trans no1 st or 4 th

Building a 67 chevelle,and when I went to drive it 1st would come in on manual shifting sometime and feels like overdrive not at all,2nd and 3rd seem fine,but car wants to start in 2nd ,and now it want go to 1st any,trans sat for about,6 years,was wondering if I need to clean terminal ends on trans for 1st and why would overdrive not come in at all,also I had to get a new transmission controller,everything is factory but wiring harness

You need to check for codes in the pcm. A shift performance fault code will trigger this type of condition.

This setup has a transmission controller that is factory also,when scanning will it read that also,new to this ,and do you think it might be that tcm is not set up for being new,computer was set up for Texas speed cam package and had to get flashed for a automatic instead of manual

All I can say is you need to see if the pcm is seeing a fault.
