Just to come near full circle on this.

If using a manual transmission....... any considerations electronically at all ? I know normally no ....... but these newer trans t56 and newer etc

pretty sure no, other than GM uses a 16 tooth reluctor wheel for the VSS sensor vs a 40 tooth reluctor for 4l60e and 4l80e so you just need to make sure you have the right settings for your speedometer and EFI.

assume that would mean a flash to ECM to match different signal ...... or installing a 40 ring on output shaft....

Simple change in HP tuners, I'd assume same with most other compatible tuning software.
