Hi this is my first post on this site. I am doing research to get my 68 C10 project started. I am doing a ls swap as well as porter built suspension on a 68 c10. I have a 2011 LS3 6l80e drivetrain from a 2011 Escalade that I want to use for the swap. Has anyone turned a 4wd 6l80e into a 2wd? If so , whats involved. I am weighing the options of converting this trans or selling and using something different.

I did a quick search a while back on the same subject as there was a 4wd 4l80e located near me. Turns out the output shaft has to be changed and that requires tearing into the transmission.

I managed to find a 2wd version from a chevy van for $120 bucks from the local junkyard so I didn't have to mess with that.
