Default Any TCI bolt together converter reviews?

I've been wondering if anyone has tried one of those things. Seems like a good idea but I don't see anyone talking about them.

Never tried one, but looking at prices they run close to a thousand dollars. For that money you could get a custom triple disk lockup converter from Circle D, FTI, Yank, etc

Not being familiar with "bolt together" converters, is there an advantage over the billet converters from the above mentioned places?

I talked to them today and the 4l60 and the 4l80 are just shy of a grand. They are billet and have a triple disc clutch. The advantage is that you can clean, service and restall them without sending them back. I have been in the situation where I really wanted to get a converter cleaned but didn't have time to send it off. We ran bolt together chance converters years ago but I've never tried one of these.

Ah, okay. I'm curious to hear how people have taken advantage of being able to restall the converter themselves.

You have to call them and they send you the parts which you can install yourself or you can send it back to them. That part isn't really a big deal if I remember correctly.

I have never had one, but those bolt together converters have me interested. They said they have sold alot of them, but I can't find one person who has one or a post about them on google other than their own stuff.

That's true.
It looks like a pretty cool concept.
