Sounds like the perfect setup for a 4th gen. I really want to find more info about it if possible

The description of "It features five-pinion gear sets, heat-treated stator shaft splines, induction hardened turbine shaft, an 8-friction-plate 3-4 clutch, and specially calibrated valve body" makes it sound like a higher end model from any of our sponsors. Get billet input and output shafts for an even stronger trans. Don't know if the GMP 4L75E uses the Sonnax input drum (or equivalent) but that is highly recommended for 600+ ft/lbs.

As mrvedit mentioned this trans would not be much different than a sponsored built trans. It's still a 4l60e just with some stronger parts, not a 4l80e squished into 4l60e housing. I don't see this transmission changing anything other than you being able to buy a slightly stronger 4l60e directly from GM instead of a sponsor. 4L80e is still an inherently better design as it's a strait through design with almost 2x the clutch surface area.
