Default Boost and Th400 Modulator valve

Sold the t56 today and I'm installing a 400 here in a week or so. When I was thinking about where I'm going to source vacuum for the Modulator, I started wondering what happens with the Modulator if it sees boost?

You will need the TransGo vacuum bypass valve (blow off valve) or make one yourself. Vacuum modulators can be destroyed when air pressure is put to them. Running vacuum when possible is much easier on the front pump and sealing rings, not being at "full line pressure" all the time.

I use one of the transgo valves, but have run w/o also
On a 400, converting it to man. works great, not that bad on the street, only shifting twice
Just source the vac. from somewhere behind the throttle blade
