Default What yoke for this 4l80e shaft

Hi guys I've read a lot of the yoke threads and I'm still confuse .. can anyone tell me what yoke I need for this 4l80e shaft .. I need to have the yoke welded to my stock s10 shaft.. the splines are continues to the rear and I don't see a ridge on the middle if the splines for an o ring. Thank you in advance !!

This is my old yoke that was on my 700r4 that has to be removed and replaced with the 4l80e yoke .

It needs a nothing special th400/4L80E 32 spline SLIP yoke. No counter bore or anything. Usually a van application.

That sleeve has an o-ring on the inside and it used with a vented yoke, one with a small hole in the end.

I'd take the sleeve off and use a non vented yoke.

A counter bored yoke will also work, but will have less spline engagement.

And obviously you want one that matches your driveshaft, doesn't make much sense to have a yoke welded on the driveshaft to match or get stuck with a crossover u-joint.

I got a little lost with the yoke that matches my driveshaft.. what type of yoke would match my drive shaft .. what exactly would I be looking for in the yoke that I would know it would match my drive shaft and transmission.. I was just going to take the yoke to the driveshaft place because I needed to get shorten and have them weld the yoke end from the 4l80e

The driveshaft place should have a Sonnax yoke for the 4L80. No counterbore. If that u joint is a 1350, you can reuse the ds end with a new u joint and the new yoke.

It means get a slip yoke that uses the same size u-joint that your driveshaft uses.

If you're going to have a driveshaft shop do all the work you really don't need to know all this. Just tell them the length and transmission.

That is a fixed yoke, and is not a good choice.

somewhere close to the one from the 700r4.

keep in mind the 4l80e is about 3/4 of an inch longer than the 700r4

that first yoke you posted is not for a 3R joint

So I bought the yoke . But look what happens when I push it in . It slips out like it's building air pressure and I'm not able to fully inserted . I only get about 3 inches engagement. Any thoughts ?

It's a non vented yoke. Take the sleeve off the output shaft, it's not needed with a non vented yoke.
