Default im about to fix code p1870 1-2 hard shifts . I need some advice!

well I've seen countless and countless of threads talking about the same subject. I took the valve body out and im about to replace the tcc valve with this.

Im also be replacing solenoids A-B for 1-2 and 3-4 shifts. and both front and back gaskets from the separator plate. My question is, what else could i replace while I'm at it?

You might consider installing the Transgo HD2 kit while you have the valve body out.

I highly suggest the Sonnax 4L60E-LB1 boost valve.

You might consider the Sonnax Forward and Reverse abuse valve kit:

If you have made engine upgrades and visit the drag strip, I highly suggest the Sonnax HD 2-3 shift valve:

Thanks for your input. I was able to successfully put the valve body back in its place with the parts you mentioned and then I torqued down every bolt to factory specs. After that I took a 2 hour long trip and the car shifts flawless. Couldn't be any happier

That is great news.
Those parts should give you a perfectly functioning valve body.
The Fitxall valve's On/Off (instead of PWM) TCC apply should make the lockup more noticeable. Can you feel the difference?
I think the On/Off feel of the lock up clutch is actually desired by most members here.

Yes i do feel the difference when it goes off . Can you explain the function of going on/off. I do feel a bit of rpm drop after reaching 50mph. Is it to save gas among other things by keeping the rpms lower?
