Default Best Flexplate

Been reading for a few weeks and my brain is now fried haha. Put an LS1/4l60e in my 85 C10, had PSI make my harness for the ls1/4l80e. I had a 4l80e rebuilt and now I'm ready to put it into the truck. Looking at torque convertors/flexplates. I will most likely go with Circle D for the stall but should I change the flexplate from the ls1 to a flat one with a 6 bolt pattern? Or stay with the original flexplate and get Circle D to make the convertor to fit the 4l80e?
I have been looking at different flexplates, torque convertors. Cant decide!!
The ls1 is a '98 Fbody, with 243 heads, lunati double valve springs, changed the pushrods and lifters. But I haven't picked a cam yet either. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Any SFI certified flexplate will be adequate for your build at that point its just a matter of preference.

personally I would go with a SFI certified version of the LS1 dished style flexplate like you had previously for ease...

I know if you go with our new billet forged steel covers we have the LS1, GM large bolt circle(same as 4L80), and small bolt circle bolt patterns so the converter will fit pretty much any flexplate you choose.

If you're looking for the best of the best in regards to a flexplate we offer the Meziere 1 piece billet steel flexplates and we have them in stock. These are the same flexplates we ran on our 1800HP Pro-Charger car along with the rest of our shop cars.

also thank you FTIconvertors. Circle D is pretty close to me so I decided to use them. I would like to try a convertor of yours in the future on a different swap!

A '98 LS1 will have a decent dished flexplate already, I have ran them up to 500HP for years, It's the later LS Flexplate's that give issues with more power. The Early Flexplate has 6 large round holes, The Late Flexplate has large "Jelly Bean" shaped hole in it.

SFI Flexplate are great, But not needed in a Heads/Cam LS1.
