Anybody know if something happened to him? I ordered a pro street elite kit about 3 weeks ago and haven't heard anything. I tried calling 3 times and left messages with no response. Not sure if I should order from a different vendor?

Dana (handle PBA) posted here just a few days ago.
While a great resource and a great trans guru for the past 30+ years, I have seen others mention there are sometimes delays in getting his kits. If you can remain patient, he will come through.

Probably backordered on something, but I agree communication is key.

I ordered from him on the 5th and we emailed back and forth details on my build. Not sure when you last talked to him.

I haven't talked to him since I ordered which was probably around the 24th of January. Called and left 3 messages over a week never heard anything. After I posted this he sent me a pm saying waiting on parts my kit was suppose to ship last Friday. So now we wait and see.

Good to know, I would assume my kit would need those same parts your waiting on. It was nice to have him contact me after my order and ask exactly what I was doing with my car.

Yeah we spent 45 minutes on the phone checking everthing from cam specs to rear gears etc. I'm going 6.0 with a 78 mm turbo just waiting on the trans now then to get tuned.

I'd order a kit too, but I cannot login on his website for whatever reason. What's going on?

Got my parts Friday they are at the builders now. I need an input shaft trying to decide if I get a stock one or a hardened one.

I believe that Sonnax sells a hardened input shaft. If you builder is part of a pro shop it might be available through distributors like TranStar.
You probably don't need a billet input shaft.
FYI - because of the torque multiplication of the trans, I would always recommend a billet output shaft before a billet input shaft. Those running a heavy hit of Nitrous should consider a billet output shaft.

Just as an fyi I can't get a hold of Dana at Pro-built Automatics at all. he hasn't answered or returned any phone calls no emails or PMs and Ive been very patient gave him many chances. I would look elsewhere if your looking for parts, it's been a nightmare.

I understand your frustration. I've already got my kit in my box like a week ago, and I've placed the order at least a month ago. He's a very busy guy but his kits are really, really worth the wait. I'll lost a thread with pics when I get them in two weeks (have no money to ship them rn lol).

Well I'm at the point now that there is a billing issue and he won't even contact me to straighten it out, in fact I believe he's avoiding me. I mean a quick email or two would fix it no problem

I just talked to him Friday night. It was 930 pm my time when he called. I got my parts and my builder said they were all real good parts. Trying calling him late in the evening.

I don't know, but I don't think he's ignoring you per se. I've been sending him multiple emails before AND after I've received the kit and he hasn't replied to any of them. The kit came to my box quietly.

Oh and IIRC, it took a week or so until he replied to me and sorted out the billing issue. I was gonna go with a TruTech kit until he finally replied. I prefer Dana's goodies over most kits TBH.

He does some tricks to the parts that others won't do either.

Yes. He asks a lot of questions regarding my car and how I drive. What I like the most is that he pre drills the spacer plate, which would've been hell to a newb like me. Here's a quote from one of his emails just to show how thorough this guy is.
"I am working on the kit right now. What is this going into? Type of vehicle? What year is the transmission? Size of motor? How much horsepower? Any power adders? Rear end gear ratio? What diameter torque converter? And stall? How do you drive? Conservative? Moderate? Moderately aggressive? Or aggressive? Daily driver? Or weekend warrior? And anything else that I should know here?
Dana"

I've been leaving messages and emails and PMs for weeks. I was gonna cancel the charge and i came home to (most of) the kit at my door after over a month. And now I've been double charged for the missing parts that are now here.
