Default 4L80e trans question; one better than other?

Is one of the 4L80e transmissions are better/superior than other, talking about the year?

yes, later models have a few small upgrades, imo the more important thing is to go with a later year that already has the slip yoke output shaft.

also early year have the trans cooler lines infront like a th400, where as the later year have them more like a stock 4l60e. the later years are the better ones to go with but the main thing is to know what year you have because if you do a rebuild its important to know the year to get the right parts.

you will be fine with that, if you get a full rebuild kit you will get a new harness and alot of the new parts along with it. and if you dont have a slip yoke it would be a good time to swap it out. it really depends on what power you want and how street or race built you want it to be
