hello again I just wanted to say thanks for the advise. yeah I'm not sure at this point what I want to do my fear is ive never torn down a tranny before and I suppose more research is in order I mean if it is simple then I dnt see why not I mean in the grand scheme of thing it could be quite the learning experience and I didn't plan on having my swap done in a day back to that in a moment lol. so reseach it is now to my swap my 6.0l is gonna go into my 86 c10 I've also been toying w the idea of swapping in a manual transmission I do know that's quite a bit of work but the trucks not perfect so cutting the trans tunnel out and cutting a hole in the firewall may be fun aswell anyone recommend a good manual tranny to swap in w the 6.ol I was thinking the tremec tko 600 5-speed but as I'm sure we all know they are expensive. ive also been toying w the idea of selling the 4l80 e w the transfer case shafts etc. I still need to buy motor mount adaptors exhaust headers radiator shroud fans from 00 Camaro etc... and then there's the wiring nightmare lol just being honest I'm probably going to out source the wiring as electrical is not my forte and id rather not burn my baby to the ground do to a mistake by me lol anyone interested in the tranny pm me i'll entertain reasonable offers

i never tore one down before either and just did my 4l80e with a jakes stage 3 rebuild kit.
theres a awesome youtuber named hiram that does a 4l80e rebuild from beginning to end. i used is vidio along with the instructions i had for rebuild kit to do mine, it wasnt to bad honestly. only special tool i needed was the spring compressor and it was 30 bucks
