Default Next tranny question.

How do I get the plastic accumulator piston out of the accumulator housing?

If its the 1-2 accumulator (in the seperate housing) use compressed air through the feed hole and blow it out (point it away from you). If its the 3-4 accumulator (in the case) you can just grab it with pliers.

Make sure you push the piston down first to force out most of the fluid, or you'll be taking a nice bath in 3 ounces of ATF when you blow it out with the air!

is there any interest in a 700 ratio change from 3.06 lst 1.62 2d to 2.66 lst 1.50 2d?

Yep! But also put a rag over the piston to catch the piston and cut down on the remaining splash of fluid.
