Default Is it a proven fact that aftermarket converters lose hp over the stock converter?

So is this a proven fact and does anyone have any comparison dyno graphs to look at? I always hear this but i've never seen dyno graphs to be sure.

Yes, higher stall converters turn more mechanical energy into heat than a lower stall converter does - HOWEVER, the higher stall converter lets the motor stay at a higher RPM where more power is being produced anyway. The higher engine RPM and higher horsepower far exceeds the additional losses in the converter. This is why big transmission coolers are generally suggested for use with high-stall converters. If you can maintain traction, a higher stall converter is 99.99% gauranteed to get you down the track quicker.
