Question Back with another VIG(updated)

Well I recently noticed after my new transmission install I had ALOT MORE stall. I had a Vig3200 in it and I could foot brake it to ~4100. I knew something wasnt right. I always ran at the track with the converter it pulled 1.7 60s very consistently, but I always wondered why I was only MPH 104 @ the most. Went and had it dyno tuned and found that was actually loosing about 50hp between locked and unlocked. So I sent it off to PI to get the converter checked out. They said there were about 3-4 blades or fins that were bent over which was causing it to happen. So I went ahead and had it restalled(2800) and then going to try it out at the track you think I will actually pick up anything? I mean it should be like gaining about 20-30hp wouldnt you think?

You will definitely gain if you had bent fins. You might want to stay with the 3200 since it should stall closer to 3600 - 3800 once it is fixed. it will feel a bit tighter and faster once it is in working order.

Well got it back together and man this 2800 footbrakes around 2800. Man this feels awesome! The car has alot more get up and go than before. It has alot better street manners than the 3200 ever had. I would definatly say choose a Vigilante they have awesome service. They fixed the converter and restalled it and shipped it back for free how many places do that?

If you can footbrake it to 2800 in 1st gear, the stall is much higher than 2800.

Wouldn't it be safer 4 you to try to launch from just regular drive. Can't you break your OD gear launching from OD? Just my $.02
