I put in a Yank SS3800 into my 98TA 1 month ago along with a B&M 28000gvw trans cooler. No tune or shift kit and 2.73 gear and I absolutly love it. No problems at all. I think you will be fine as long as you have a good trans fluid cooler.

i have a vig3200 and love it to death. i wish i woulda got it the day i bought the car, but you should be fine with no tune. a tune for me is 535, and i really dont think that i will get my moneys worth right now. if you go the "bolt-on" route like i am. my plan is do allllll the bolt-ons i possibly can do, then go and get a tune. to me that is the best route bcuz i will have all the bolt ons and then with a tune i can maximize the hp from each mod, and tune the converter all at the same time.

i ran a vig 3200 and a 3600 without a tune and I have NEVER ran a shift kit on my car, they are really not needed.

My car is an '01 but i dont see why that would matter.

Thanks everyone i feel more confident now in adding just a 3200ish to 3500ish stall with a big cooler and temp gauge with no tune and shift kit. My goal is to hit high 12s do you guys think i can acomplish this with the mods in my sig plus a 3200ish to 3600ish stall? THANK YOU EVERYONE

you should be able to get into 12's. my friends 02 went 12.80 stock. you really need to work on your times.

the weather plays a very huge role. i am no weather man so i cant tell if the elevation is messin with ur times. admitting that you need to work on it is the first step. haha
