Default TCI SSF3500 shift question

Well, I got in on the GP with Thunder and installed the tci this weekend. Love it! No problem blazing the tires now and you can really feel the shift extension. But I have a question, In searching other threads, I find that the TM is more noticable 01 and 02 cars.
That being said, If I stand on it from sitting still, it will light the tires up and of coarse quickly rev to what appears to be 6k and then changes to 2nd gear and immediately stops spinning the tires and then redownshifts into 1st. . Is this due to TM and a need to program shift points? Has anyone out there who has an 01 or 02 experienced this and then deleted TM and it fixed this? This is probably the only drawback I have experienced to this point. Thanks for the input!!

because, after it shifts, you get traction, then the speed reads correct, and sees it should be in first still... thats all

I dont know what I was thinking That definately makes sense.
Now I know the object here is to get traction but I'm just curious if cars that have TM deleted carry tire spin into second gear or is it normal for it to regain traction once second gear is applied? Thanks again!

I agree that is what is happening to you.

TM will feel like a huge gap between shifts mostly felt between 1st and 2nd gear for me. If I drive around with the cutout open you can hear the engine die out because of it, sucks! but all that will be fixed in 3 weeks
