Vig 2800 or Yank SS 3600,SS 3800
Has anyone went from a Vig 2800 to one of these Yank SS 3600-3800 converters? If so what did you gain and was it worth it? The Vig 2800 stalls at 3200 so there is a 400-600 between the three converters. I am on the fence on what to do so help me out guys.

I hear that a low stall converter is good for cars with 2.73s so I don't know how a higher stall converter will do with those gears. I personally have a SS3800 with 3.23s and love it. I think your best choice is to go with a higher gear (3.23s) this way when you do make up your mind on what converter you want, the gears that you have now won't affect the performance in a bad way.

I have the Vig 2800 and 3.42 gear (also aftermarket) in my 04 Vette coupe. Has a great hole shot and very nice on the highways.
Which stall you want is going to depend on how you want to use your car. Call Precision Industries' (Vigilante) or Yank's tech support. They will point you in the right direction.

Def not the SS3600....big mistake!!!
At minimum the SS3800, but I would recommend the SS4000.
I have 2.73s with my SS3800 and its pretty darn tight, could have easily stepped up to the 4000

Trying to get one is pretty tough.
Does this converter hold up with the use of nitrous? I know Debian is spraying his but anyone else spray with this converter?

According to the great minds of LS1tech it is safe to spray this converter (SS3800/4000) for a little extra strength you could go with an SS4000E, the E is specially made for nitrous applications from what I understand.
