230+/600+ Cam--What Stall?
Would I need at least a 4000? I am still undecided if I would upgrade the gears at the time as the car won't see much, if any, actual track time. Should I get a 4400? In all my searches, I have found 4000 or 4400, but just wanted to check and see what recommendations you all have. Thanks.

I think I would go to a Yank or TCI, something pretty efficient. I would mostly be street driving, not much strip. I would probably be sticking w/ 323 for a while, does that matter?

I bought the car used w/ the stall, and it has been over 2 years since it has been installed, so I am out of luck. I can get it restalled for 225, but I would rather buy something used off the board, or new, depending of price, and sell the vig afterward.

I had a 3600 vig in my car with a cam that was right under 600 and in the 230s and ran beautifully on the street and just ate it up at the track. If your gonna be running on the street, I would HIGHLY suggest against a 4000 or a 4400. Those are leaning more toward the track for usage as where the 3600 or even 3800 is good for a combination or uses. If you want a good converter, maybe look into getting one made. Vig and TCI are good brands, but ive seen a number of failures out of them lately. If you want to go that route (building one) give me a holler, we deal with a company here in Houston that can build them rather inexpensive and has a very fast turn around time. Send me a PM and I can give you some details, same goes with anyone else thats looking for a good converter. JP

If you are going for 1/4 mile time then you should get a stall speed that comes on at your max torque that is on your dyno sheet, thats what you want to leave the line with. I have a 2800 vig now and it was good for a stock motor but now Im turning it up to 3600, I probably would go to 4000 but I want the option to spray if I want to later.
