I'm looking to get a torque converter and I'm leaning toward the SF3000.
What 60' times are people running with a TCI SF3000 at the track? Please include your combo, gears, tires, suspension?

I know you said you are looking at SF300, but I highly suggest you consider the SSF3500. Look waht it did for my car.....on unlocked stock converter I put down 320/337. With the SSF3500 and 26x16x10.5 ET Streets I pulled consistent 1.72-1.75 60's in summer weather no problem.

best time in sig on a brake launch. I was unnable to hold a brake stall because of bad brakes at the time. I will try 1.5x now that i've upgraded.

heyitsTaJay... I've read many posts and have run loose converters on non LS1 cars in the past. I want to stay on the more conservative side this time. That's why I'm interested in the TCI3000.
koolrayz...are you running a 3000 or a 3500?
PREDATOR-Z.... were you spraying out of the hole to get 1.66 60' times?
The goal is to pull in the low to mid 1.7's with Nitto DR's, 3.42's, and stock suspension. Right now the car has pulled a best 60' of 2.071 with Nitto DR's, stock converter, 2.73 rear gear, Lid, and FTRA.

koolrayz...This car is 99.9% street car. I'll take it to the track maybe twice a year. I'm looking for a performance boost but want to keep this really streetable.

With the TCI3000 what was your average 60' time? How much does your car weigh? What gears are you running?
TCI 3500, average 1.7's, weight? dunno, heavy for sure, 3:73's

A TCI SSF3500 is 99.99% streetable. The only way it's not "streetable" is if you want to be able to go immediately to WOT off the line w/o or you don't want to run drag radials....in which case any good converter is not going to do you a lot of good on the street. Unless you have driven or maybe ridden in a stalled LS1 I would HIGHLY consider going higher than 3000 it's really truly not bad. I could have gone 3800 EASY in mine.
Edit: If you have the money, look into the Yank SS3600. It is suppose to be very tight for it's stall speed, something about the 21 blade stator vs a 19? blade.
