Check out my trans cooler setup
Not too long time ago, a member came out with an effective cooling trans cooler placement location in the LS1 F-body, it was called the Dope's trans cooler
I did mine shortly after reading how he did it and the temps before and after the installation.
I had a hard time getting the clamps to stop seeping small amounts of fluid from the hard line connection, I converted it to AN fittings.
I cutted off the buldged end, installed an -5AN tube nut and a -5AN tube sleeve and flared the hard line end with a flaring tool. Then I used a -5AN to -6AN union flare adapter and then a -6AN straight to hose end, here's the result:
That worked well and no more seeping or leaks at all, I trust this setup as it's used similar like in aircraft hydraulics (Airframe & Powerplant techician here)
Ever since until recently, the bodyshop messed up my trans cooler by literality ripping it off, the mounts were broken and it was hanging by it's hoses, when they took the front end off to repaint it from stone chips.
Upon the removal of the old trans cooler which was a B&M 24,000 GVW cooler, I noticed the same seeping around the connections (little that you wouldn't probably notice a loss of fluid) and they used a wire to hold one side of it up with the other side being the hoses itself!
And the bodyshop didn't do a good job, why should i bring it back if they didn't do the job right in the first place? they won't even do it right the second time.
So I contacted the lady's insurance (the one who rearended me) and they got the bodyshop to cough up, I got a big settlement payment from them for the incorrect repairs and told them I will be taking it somewhere else.
So I decided to do the work by myself since I know what's going on and I have control over the work being done, it started off by ordering all the parts needed to fix the damaged parts (such as rear bumper side supports, emblems, center caps, trans cooler, missing exhaust hangers, etc)
I decided to get an AN setup trans cooler, found this B&M cooler #70273 which has 1/2" NPT on it.
I had to get 1/2" NPT to -6AN adapter, and straight -6AN to hose end.
now I'm happy with my trans cooler setup, absolutely no seeping or leaks for sure and it looks right.
You can see the hose end to hardline in the middle right of this image:

Keep us updated if the temps are lower, im also trying to figure out a way to have much more airflow. Im thining about removing my bumber support and have air ducting pointed to the cooler.

Only one thing I don't have a cooler for is the engine oil.
