TC Install/Swap Guide
Following this guide:
http://modernmusclecars.net/forums/a...p?do=tcinstall
For anyone who has done this, how the hell do you remove the cooling lines and top plastic clamp without first removing the bell housing bolts?
In the instructions it has you remove the cross member and then tells you to remove the cooling lines and the rest of the electronics. It also says that once the cross member is off, the tranny will lower...how is the tranny going to lower if the bell housing bolts are still in???????????????? It maybe went down 1/2 inch! There is about 1 inch of space to get to the cooling lines, which makes it nearly impossible to get the e clips off...
Can someone tell me why I cant find anyone else reporting this problem?
Seems to me you would just unbolt the bell housing then lower everything down a bit until you can get to the cooling lines and such...which is what I will do unless someone else has some insight...
This is on a 2000 SS
Thanks

HOW IN THE HELL DO YOU GET THAT TOP BOLT?
The bolt right in the center on the top of the bell housing????? How the hell do you get that thing? I only have about 2 inches clearance anywhere in the back of the tranny...even with it freakin pried down...
I have a 4 ft extension and a swivel on the end, but its just not working..

What i do a lot of times is leave all the bolts in the bellhousing then lower the tranny so the motor is tho onlything holding it tell i can get that bolt out then after that i support it back again. But yea you will need that many extensions.
