Default launchin with 4L60E question....and what is recommended to beefen up the tranny?

tonight i was just messing around on the streets.......and when i launched my car.....my tranny was shifting at around 4500ish rpm....ive set my HPP3 to have the rev limiter at 6200 rpm.....and havent messed around with the shift points......this problem only occurs when i launch from a stop....when i punch it from 10 mph the car is shifting at 6200 rpm like it should be......can any1 tell me point me in the right direction? the 4L60E is completely stock, except for the tranny cooler ive got installed....

and can anyone tell me what i could do to beefen up my tranny(besides installing a shift kit, coz im already looking to do that).

change your shift points

1-2 shift: 2
2-3 shift: 1
3-4 shift: 1

this should help you out.

That increases the line pressure but I do not think it would be a concern unless you had a shift kit. When you install the shift kit remove that firmness feature.

Transgo Shift Kit is the way to go in my opinion.

I agree. IMO, it is highly advisable to leave the line pressure settings alone once the shift kit is installed.
