Default Polyurethane tranny mount vibrations

So I put on a new energy suspensions polyurethane tranny mount and I am noticing HUGE vibration....like the coins in my cupholder (what little there is left) is acting like it's on speed....is this normal ??? Also @ 2500 rpm there is intense vibration.....and over 4000rpm forget about it......feels like my car is going to fall apart.......

That's why the factory mounts are soft.

I swear - every single post I've read on poly mounts contains the same complaint - horrific vibrations. Why do people install them???

I've always heard that complaint with the poly mounts...Thats the disadvantage to the poly mounts. Its either dealing with the vibration, or just keep replacing the mushy-rubber mounts..After the mount is broken in, a little of the vibration will go away.

put a hard hitting convertor in your car and see how long that mushyone lasts. but poly ones are loud. def not for the daily driver.

My PT4200 just about ripped my stock mount right in half after a few runs down the track. I replaced it with another stock one I had laying around. There are some mods you can do to the energy suspension poly trans mount that reduce the noise and vibration a lot. They really help, My buddy's car has the modded poly trans mount and it's hard to tell the difference from stock. I had an unmodded energy suspension mount in my old car and the noise and vibration from it was pretty annoying. I'm not sure what you're supposed to do to it, maybe try searching.

the poly engine mounts don't seem to be as annoying as the poly tranny mounts.

Have had the ES poly trans mount in my '94 for years. Doesn't bother me. You have to realize you have to sacrifice a little comfort for performance parts. Granted the car is not a daily driver now, but it has been for periods in the past.

I have a poly tranny mount in my daily driver...If you want a smooth driving car, drive a lexus, if you want to feel a rugged V8 with a loud exhaust and lots of vibration....buy a muscle car.....i honestly think people complain too much

you did remove the metal plate(chuck it) and shave down the nipple/things before install? maybe your cam is too *****, cause you will feel the mount at 700rpm on a 112lsa

I have Prothane motor, trans and torque arm bushings and have a little vibration/rattling in the shifter button. I can live with that since I want the exhaust tight to the car and no rattles from that
