Default i need help bad!

im in college so i barely have enough money for gas.. ive gotta big problem that i dont want to get worse.. if i hit the gas at all with any force it feels and sounds like someone is taking a sledgehammer to middle of under my car.. so i baby it and it drive fine there for now at least.. but in high rpms it does the same thing, horrible knocks. anyone have any idea on what.. how and the cost??? sorry i know thats not the most descriptive i coulda been, but i did my best and could prolly answer some questions about whats goin on if you think you know. i just dont want my car breaking while im stuck out in college.

Yea it could be the tranny mount our the toruqe arm bushing. It could be the rearend also. Check if your bushings are in good shape. I had a big rip in my toruqe arm bushing and my tranny mount and it was making some noises like you described.

alright cool i hope its just a mount.. but i was more afraid that it was my rear-end. i just realized it was doing this the day after my buddy mike was drivin it to the store. he said that it did somethin wierd when he was on the gas and went over a bump at the same time..?? does that help anyone narrow it to which it could be? thanks again guys

The problem you're discribing is going to be easy to diagnose for your shop. You know you need to have it fixed anyway, so just take 'er in, and tell the man what it's doing. Good luck to you.

It sounds exactly what mine felt like when I broke the tranny mount. It never made a sound or anything when I was easy on it, but as soon as I would try to give it gas I felt a really bad clunk. I thought one of my gears were broke but it turned out to be the tranny mount, an easy and cheap fix. Good luck.
