Default converter hub too freaking short????

So now what? Do I need some kind of spacer for the hub? I knew something else was bound to go wrong. Has anyone installed one that just barely goes in? BTW, it's a 9" verter going into my TH400 with a stock flexplate LS1.

don't have it in front of me but i'd say .75-1.25" long. i'm putting together a 6.0 and th-350 and the spacer works out perfect.
