Transmission lines on stock cooler
I had my transmission lines backwards on my stock cooler.I just found this out.Could that kill a transmision.I have had 2 rebuilds and a used transmission go bad.The rebuilds had under 1000 miles on them. The used transmission lasted for 3 weeks.I was at the track when one rebuilt trans started slipping and the used trans went out at the track to.Do you think my transmission over heated?

transmission lines
What i'm trying to say is the fluid was going in at the top of the stock cooler and runing out the bottom back to the trans.I don't think the fluid was getting cooled like that.

did you put the cooler on before your rebuilds? if so i would say without looking at the way you had it hooked up, it's possible you werent getting and fluid circulation which would smoke your tranny. next time get a guage.....then you will know if it's hot or not. hea is what kills trannys

transmission lines
I didn't put a aftermaket cooler on.The lines that run to the stock cooler got put on wrong. The fluid was going in at the top of the stock cooler and running out the bottom of the stock cooler and back to the transmission.
