Default P0757 2-3 solenoid stuck on ..

This has happened to me 2 times recently... shut the car down for a sec and the car is fine. When it happens, the car won't shift into 4th and is in 3rd. I can't remember if it will grab 2nd if I go for 2nd.. I think so. SHould I just replaced the solenoid ?

And which one is it in the trans ? I can see me changing the wrong solenoid.

It may be the solenoid, maybe a tiny piece of dirt, but it is probably just throwing a code. I know a lot of people with high stalls that just delete that code and never have the problem again.

THanks. I'm going to wait to see if it happens again. I almost think I hear a high-pitched noise when it happens, but otherwise the car drives fine and the noise may be just from haning in 3rd. If it happens again, I'm going to check to see if it will go into 2nd... but again, if the code gets thrown, maybe the computer just hangs in the current gear and won't allow 2nd or 4th.

Little trick I use is that when I drive around town I keep the shift selector in 3. When I get on the highway above 50mph and I know I am going to stay above 40mph I put the shifter in 4th.

When I get under 40mph (where my conveter unlocks) I let the car slow down to about 30mph and put the selector back into 3rd until I go above 50 again and know I am staying above 40.

So far its worked for me and I haven't thrown a code since I started doing that, before that I used the throw the code about 2x a day
I really should go back to Cartek and have them delete the code, just haven't gotten around to it the past 6 months
