what rear gear are you th400 (semi street) guys using?

what rear gear are you th400 (semi street) guys using? i have 3.42s in the rear right now and was wondering if that is going to hurt overall 1/4 mile performance due to the smaller(smaller than 4l60e that is) 1st gear in my new th400. any info would be great.
