Default Difference in converter for LS1 ?

I understand that the LS1 cars have a 4L60E. I see that places like Summit/Jegs sell converters for the 4L60E. Is there a difference between the LS1 and non-LS1 transmissions? Or will one of the TCI 3500s that Summit sells work in an LS1 car?

I have read that they are different. Just wanting to confirm.

If there is some FAQ that would answer this, please direct me.

Thanks,
Kris

the difference is that a LS1 4L60E has a different bellhousing than a LT1 4L60E, and the converters are sized to fit in the bellhousing. So you must but a converter for a LS1 4L60E if thats what you have. THe Summit/jegs converters for LS1 applications are the correct ones, but I'd recommend buying from one of our sponsors, or waiting for another group purchase to come along.
