I understand that the LS1 cars have a 4L60E. I see that places like Summit/Jegs sell converters for the 4L60E. Is there a difference between the LS1 and non-LS1 transmissions? Or will one of the TCI 3500s that Summit sells work in an LS1 car?

I have read that they are different. Just wanting to confirm.

If there is some FAQ that would answer this, please direct me.

the difference is that a LS1 4L60E has a different bellhousing than a LT1 4L60E, and the converters are sized to fit in the bellhousing. So you must but a converter for a LS1 4L60E if thats what you have. THe Summit/jegs converters for LS1 applications are the correct ones, but I'd recommend buying from one of our sponsors, or waiting for another group purchase to come along. Holiday specials are around the corner
