Default Help With Vibration

I just had a TCI 2800 stall put in my C5. Now I have a weird vibration at 3k and 4k. I called TCI, they said they would check it out if I pull it out and send it in. I first noticed it in OD, and it also does it in park.

Anyone else experience this?

Does it happen in neutral also? If so, the converter might need to be re-clocked (bolts removed, then rotated 1 bolt hole on the drive plate - can be done in-car).

I haven't tried it in neutral. I assume it does, since it does it in park. I will try your turning method.

If it vibrates in park and neutral than its not the converter. When the car is in park or neutral the converter isnt spinning. What kind of trans mount are you running?

The converter spins in park and neutral, Its bolted directly to the flexplate!

Im sorry I worded it incorrectly. The converter is spinning but the pump inside is not. This proves that the vibration cant be caused by the converter.

Default hey

Hey .. Any converter can vibrate, thats why they are balanced! I'd pull it and send it back. Hope this helps ........Dave
